WHY DO THIS?

Aaron has a million ideas at the same time. He calms the chatter by making art. He loves acting because it engenders empathy and because performing is a live process of preparation without premeditation. He came to acting as a kid largely because he wanted to be anyone but himself, and continues to act (and write and create) because it brings him closer to who he truly is. “Being an artist and creating for me is the act of peeling an onion,” he says. Un-ironically, he is affectionately known as Uncle Onion to his niece who at age one, couldn’t pronounce his name. She understood the metaphor immediately.
